Reasons to be cheerful:
1. 28 years of Caroline.2. Liverpool wins the Champions League (so no sulking from Oli).

Caroline's Birthday
My big sister wisely opted to invite everyone round to watch the football to avoid having half her friends not show up. Here she is wearing her (apparently) unlucky Rednapp shirt. When it got to half time, everyone made her change it.Shinykatie at 4:13 pm

The wardrobe in all its glory!
Now we just need to put some doors on... and paint it.... and build another
one the other side. Then it's all done! Should be all done and dusted this
time next year.

Nice Muff!*
We finally went to the Tower of London this year.
*Every man who's ever shouted this at me thinks he's the first one to ever
think of it.

Orange BRITS - Mark II

Orange BRITS
I went skiing the other week. I'd love to say that was me doing some sweet
jumps on my board, but since I spent all my time on the nursery slopes with
the 5 year olds (all of them speed demons and natural athletes who put me to
shame) that would be a lie. This is one of the teenagers competing in the
Orange BRITS Ski & Snowboarding Championships.

Vanessa and Tito return!
Vanessa has finally returned to the UK after 4 years away, during which time
she picked up 2 new languages - Japanese and Spanish - and a rather charming
Peruvian husband, Tito. Having spent the past four years telling people that
she's British, she gets to come back here and have people treat her like a
foreigner again. It's the Canadian accent that fools them, you see. She may
come from good Yorkshire stock, but that's what you get when your parents
take you to North America to grow up.
Tito has taken moving to London in his stride and his english is already
pretty impressive. But he didn't know any Japanese before he moved to Japan,
so this is not an entirely new experience for him.

Greenfinch coming in to land
This was one of the pics that didn't make it into the piece I did last month
about wildlife photography. I had the shutter speed set very fast, but
because it was a gloomy day the photo was a bit dark and the ISO setting I
was using to compensate made the photo a bit too noisy.
I like his expression though! The greenfinches love their sunflower seeds.
You can see how empty the feeder is. We have to refill it every couple of
days - they just can't get enough of it! Costing me a fortune!
